Girls Night

Every Wednesday, we have girls' night at our house. Brent has rehearsals so he doesn't come home until 10pm which means its just me and the kiddos for the evening. Out of pure laziness, I decided to create Girls Night. See Girls Night is our excuse to put Justus to bed early, make hot dogs or peanut butter sandwiches, pull the table in front of the TV, watch a movie together, eat a special treat, and just be lazy. This summer we skipped the movie and danced to So You Think You Can Dance every week. We're all waiting for the fall season to kick off again! I didn't think the girls were all that into girls night until last week when my parents were here. Avery told grandma and grandpa that it was our girls night and that we usually dance together. She then told grandpa that she thought it might be okay just this once for a boy to be there =)

I guess my laziness has turned into a fun night for all 3 of us. I don't have to do baths and a big dinner and playtime after dinner by myself and the girls get a fun treat in the middle of the week.

haha i used to do the same thing on days that were too hot to play outside. we called it 'girl's club' and we sat in a circle holding hands singing our 'girls club' song then we'd do something crafty or just read books.

Oh fun. Too bad we don't have enough girls around here. Didn't the new season start last week? I usually try to keep up with SYTYCD. Its a fun show that the kids enjoy too!

It did start last week but I didn't know it until it the next day. I know what we're doing this Wednesday!
