Top Three Things I will Hopefully Never Do Again

1. Fly by myself with all three kids on a 6am flight.

2. Fly by myself with all three kids on a 6am flight.

3. Fly by myself with all three kids on a 6am flight.

But at least we finally made it home and its almost naptime for the kids and for me. I'm praying they all sleep at the same time so I can sleep! I'm exhausted.

Highlight of the flight:
  • Halfway down the tunnel to get onto the airplane, Avery says: "I have to go back and give Grandpa a hug and a kiss and tell him how much I love him. " I told her we couldn't go back, so she yelled at the top of her lungs "I LOVE YOU GRANDPA!!!" and continued to walk onto the plane.
Low point in the flight:
  • Elliana stretched out on the floor of the plane yelling at the top of her lungs "I DON'T WANT TO BE ON THE GROUND. I WANT TO FLY." She alternated between screaming this and just screaming for the last 15 minutes of the flight. I guess when you wake a 2 year old up at 4am, there's only so much they can handle before they flip out =)
Sorry to all you passengers on flight 3570 this morning who thought you were going to sleep on your 6am flight. My kids had other plans for you.

Chicka I was praying for you all morning long...and last night. You should get a gold star for tackling such a big task.

Oh no fun! Sorry you had a rough time!! I'm very glad that my husband will be with me on our upcoming 2 days of flights which involve leaving at 7:20pm (bedtime) for a 45 minute flight. Arriving in LA around 11pm and having to do something with my totally exhausted kids for 3 hours while we wait to get on a 2am flight that will last about 12 hours, the 2nd half of which I'll probably have to entertain previously mentioned exhausted preschoolers before another airport and another flight to arrive at our destination at 1pm local time, which will feel like about midnight to my utterly worn out family!

Sara Beth, Suddenly my small little flight seems like no big deal! 2 days of exhaustion seems miserable. I'll pray that you and Brian won't run out of energy at the same time!

Your little flight isn't nothing!! By yourself is amazing with 3 kids 3 and under!! I'm just glad I'm not by myself for any leg of this one, let alone all of it!! You know how you and your husband just get your groove with travel or whatever? We have ours with airports. It works well and I can't imagine if I had to do it by myself!
